Barbeque Tempeh Sliders

This palate-warming take on BBQ sliders is a stiff competition to its meat variant. 

Serves: 3-4 

Ingredients 

Marinade:

  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise/ coconut yogurt
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • ½ tbsp ginger paste
  • ½ tsp garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp spring onion greens
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp red chili flakes
  • Mix with a hand blender and keep aside

For the slider:

  • A block of tempeh
  • Oil
  • Pav

Method:

  1. Cut tempeh into medium sized cubes
  2. Add 3/4th of the marinade to it and let sit for 4 hrs
  3. Once marinated, shallow fry the tempeh on both sides till they are cooked well 
  4. Fill in the tempeh into a loaf of pav and drizzle some of the marinade on top if you’d like
