 Ingredients:

  • 🌱 1 block of Zoh tempeh
  • 🥄 1 tbsp oil
  • 🌿 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 🧄 5-6 garlic cloves
  • 🌰 2 cardamoms (elaichi)
  • 🍁 1 bay leaf
  • 🧅 1 large onion
  • 🍅 2 finely chopped tomatoes
  • 🥘 1 tsp jeera powder
  • 🌶️ 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 🍯 ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 🌾 ½ tsp coriander powder
  • 🌱 ½ cup of green peas
  • 🧂 Salt to taste

Method:

  1. 💡Add 1 tbsp oil in a pan. Sauté shredded tempeh till they turn golden brown. Keep aside.
  2. 🔥In the same pan, add 1 tbsp oil, 1 tsp finely chopped ginger, 5-6 garlic cloves finely chopped, 2 crushed cardamoms, 1 bay leaf. Sauté slightly.
  3. 🍲Add 1 large onion finely chopped and cook till translucent.
  4. 🍅Throw in 2 de-seeded and finely chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp jeera powder, 1 tsp red chili powder, salt, ½ tsp turmeric powder, ½ tsp coriander powder, and 1/4th cup of water. Mix these well.
  5. 🌱Add the sautéed tempeh to the mix, ½ cup of green peas, and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
